Always Coming Home: Oil on panel 17" x 24" This is the second sister I have painted and the first time I have placed a figure in a landscape. In this case the landscape is largely imaginary, but the sea and distant mountains echo her BC home. The landscape was designed to frame the figure but also to refer to her journey through the world and to capture her at a point on that path.
